FUJIFILM’S PORTABLE CR TACKLES TWO COLLEGE BOWL GAMES

FCR Go™ named the official portable digital x-ray system of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) 2010 Tostitos Fiesta and 2009 Insight Bowl Games

Stamford, CT – December 21, 2009 - The FCR Go portable digital x-ray system from FUJIFILM Medical Systems, USA has been selected as the official portable digital x-ray system of the BCS 2010 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl as well as the 2009 Insight Bowl college football games. The innovative FCR Go will be on site to image injured players of the participating teams, providing the means for the near immediate diagnosis of athletes during these competitive bowl games. The system’s speed and ease-of-use attributed to the selection of the popular portable system. Because the FCR Go can x-ray patients and provide digital images at a workstation within seconds, it eliminates the need to print x-ray films and, players can be diagnosed more quickly.

“It’s exciting to be a part of the BCS and especially the Fiesta and Insight Bowl games this year. These are highly anticipated games for the athletes and among the country’s most prestigious collegiate events,” says Penny Maier, Director of Marketing Imaging Systems. “The teams have worked extraordinarily hard to get to play in these games. With the FCR Go, injured athletes can be examined more efficiently and team doctors have diagnostic certainty to ensure that they can safely return to the game.”

The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will take place on January 4, 2010 at the University of Phoenix Stadium located in Glendale, Arizona and will feature two undefeated teams, Boise State vs. TCU. The 2010 Insight Bowl will be held December 31, 2009 at Sun Devil Stadium located in Tempe, Arizona where the University of Minnesota will take on Iowa State.
