Jun Higuchi
President and CEO

Jun became President and CEO of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. (FMSU) in November 2019. Before joining FMSU, Jun was the President and CEO of FUJIFILM Middle East and the President and CEO of FUJIFILM Turkey where he managed sales of all the Medical division's products. In the 8 years under his leadership, the business enjoyed continuous growth year-over-year. Jun has been with Fujifilm for 28 years, and during that time he has gained tremendous experience in international business and proven to be a strong and influential leader. Jun has a degree in Political Science and Government from Keio University.

 

Satoshi Amano

Satoshi Amano
Vice President, Finance

Satoshi is responsible for all of the company's financial, accounting and planning functions, and manages the team that provides support in several additional related areas such as forecasting and budget analysis. Satoshi, who began with Fujifilm in 2002, previously worked in the Accounting & Finance group at Tokyo headquarters. In addition to many other integral projects, he was responsible for tax management through the creation of strategies to maximize tax-related efficiencies, eliminate risks, improve verification and documentation, and more. Satoshi has a degree from Waseda University in Tokyo.

 

 

Devon Bream

Devon Bream
Global Vice President of Endoscopy Systems Integration

Devon brings more than 25 years experience in Systems Integration, Sales, and Marketing to FMSU. As Global VP of Endoscopy Systems Integration, Devon is responsible for establishing and driving our new Global Systems Integration business unit. Most recently Devon was the Global Vice President of Systems Integration for Olympus in Japan, where he was responsible for Olympus' internal global systems of sales & marketing, R&D, product management, regulatory, and operations. With more than 20 years experience in medical device, Devon has also held leadership roles at Karl Storz in Germany and at STERIS Corporation.

 

 

Taisuke Fujita

Taisuke Fujita
Executive Director and General Manager, Endoscopy Division

Taisuke Fujita was appointed Executive Director and General Manager of Fujifilm's Endoscopy Division on June 1, 2018. His Fujifilm career began in 2001 in the Industrial Material Division. In 2007, he moved to the Life Science Division, where he worked on a project to launch the ASTALIFT skin care product. He joined the Endoscopy Division in 2012 where he was responsible for the Latin American market, as well as special projects in collaboration with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to expand the Japanese medical industry business globally. In February 2016, Taisuke transferred to the Endoscopy Division’s Miami office as general manager for Latin America. In this role, he oversaw the division’s sales, promotion, and customer support operations for the Latin American market where, under his leadership, the division launched Fujifilm’s latest endoscopy system, ELUXEO, which helped Fujifilm attain the rank of number 1 in endoscopy market share in the Latin market. Taisuke holds a BA degree in political science from Keio University in Tokyo.

 

Jason Heim

Jason Heim
Vice President, Sales

Jason joined FMSU in March 2016 to provide day-to-day leadership and management for the FMSU sales organization. He also collaborates with all business units to drive market share, revenue and profitability growth across the company’s broad business and product portfolio. During his 20-year career, Jason has held a number of important positions in the healthcare industry, including zone sales director, national IT new business director, and strategic accounts director. Just prior to joining Fujifilm, he was regional vice president at Siemens Healthcare. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy Administration from Penn State University and brings extensive experience in sales, sales management, strategic business development and customer relations to his role at FMSU.

 

Henry Izawa

Henry Izawa
Vice President, Modality Solutions & Clinical Affairs

Henry joined FMSU in July 2017. He is responsible for a wide range of functions that are of vital importance for the successful development and marketing of FMSU products, mostly with regard to product development for Modality Solutions, including DR, CR, and Women’s Health. Prior to his role at FMSU, Henry was the head of Radiology, IVD and Endoscopy for FUJIFILM France, managing a full staff of professionals in the Sales, Service and Engineering departments. In that role he brought long-term structural stability and business growth to the organization. An additional role at FUJIFILM France was as the Head of Modality for Europe, in which he focused on maximizing growth with existing products through product launches and post-launch activities, and growing DR (including DR mammography). Henry’s double function in France translated into many successes that were regularly rolled out to other Fujifilm companies throughout Europe. He intends to use his skills and ideas to roll out many more successes at FMSU.

 

Adam King

Adam King
Senior Director, Marketing Communications

Adam joined Fujifilm Medical Systems, U.S.A., Inc. (FMSU) in June 2019, bringing more than 20 years experience in marketing communications to the company. Adam is responsible for the planning, creation and production of all communications activities, both internal and external. He closely collaborates with the multiple product and business teams to ensure all customer and employee-facing communications provide meaningful and relevant information that is on message and brand complaint. Adam is involved with FMSU's positioning and messaging for all communications activities, including advertising, marketing and sales collateral, public relations, trade show exhibits, seminars, and all corporate events, to promote new products or enhance potential sales of existing products. Just prior to joining FMSU, Adam was the Senior Manager of Global Marketing Communications for Cabot Corporation. He has also held marketing communications positions with medical device companies including Heartware, NeuroMetrix, and Aspect Medical Systems, Inc. Adam has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies from Northeastern University.

 

William Lacy

William Lacy
Vice President, Medical Informatics

Bill was appointed Vice President of Medical Informatics in April 2016. Responsible for market and product strategy of PACS, Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS), VNA, RIS and various other Synapse medical informatics products and solutions, Bill’s broad role also includes product marketing, marketing operations, strategic account support, and our Informatics technical sales resource team. Having joined FMSU in 2003, Bill’s previous roles included Regional Digital Imaging Sales Specialist, where he was responsible for modality and Informatics product sales, and then moved on to numerous roles of increasing importance in the Informatics business, including his most recent as Division VP of Informatics sales and marketing. Prior to Fujifilm, Bill held a number of positions with Konica Minolta Medical Imaging for over 11 years, including National Digital Imaging Sales Specialist.

 

John Lucas

John Lucas
Executive Director, Government Business

John oversees business operations on behalf of all major corporate and sales activities, and has the additional responsibility of developing ways to enhance operational efficiency for order management, procurement, materials management, warehouse management and logistics. John joined FMSU in August 2006. Prior to his current role he had a number of other responsibilities at the company, including heading the Channel Sales team. Before coming aboard he had been the national channel manager for Eastman Kodak for more than a decade. John has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island.

 

 

Diku Mandavia

Diku Mandavia, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer, FMSU and FUJIFILM SonoSite Inc.

Diku provides leadership for the healthcare and clinical compliance efforts of both FMSU and FUJIFILM SonoSite Inc. by overseeing a growing list of activities related to patient care, medical professional networking, and healthcare management interaction. Diku, who joined SonoSite as a medical advisor in 2007, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Southern California, and was an Attending Staff Physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. He is also a founding member and past chair of the ACEP Ultrasound Section, taught thousands of physicians worldwide, lectured at over 150 national and international conferences, has contributed to over 40 publications, and is co-director of the National Resuscitation Conference. Diku received his medical degree from Memorial University in Canada, and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program.

 

Michael Schick

Michael Schick
Executive Director, Human Resources

Michael brings more than 15 years of experience as a human resources (HR) professional to FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. (FMSU). Michael's past professional experience has been built around a solid foundation of general HR practices and education, and he is now responsible for leading the HR function at multiple sites within FMSU. Michael's expertise spans performance management, leadership development, succession management, process improvement, HR Systems and human performance metrics. Prior to joining FMSU, Michael was the Human Resources Director at various healthcare organizations including AthenaHealth, Thermo Fisher Scientific and has a strong business partner background from Covidien and Accenture. Michael has a Master's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin.

 

Takuya Shimomura

Chief Technology Officer and Executive Director Medical Informatics Solutions - Global

Takuya was appointed Chief Technology Officer and Executive Director, Medical Informatics Solutions – Global at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. (FMSU) in 2016. With nearly 30 years of experience, Takuya utilizes his past experiences to drive technological innovation. He is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic technology plan and leading global Medical Informatics solution initiatives. Prior to joining Fujifim, Takuya held roles at FUJIFILM Corporation, GE Healthcare, Omron, and IP Labs GmbH. Takuya has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Waseda University.

 

Martin Spence

Martin Spence
Vice President, Services and Support Operations

Martin joined FMSU in February 2008 as a Regional Service Manager and was appointed Vice President of Services and Support Operations in July 2014. In his current role he oversees service and support operations and the customer support center, and leads the team that manages the professional service and integration activities, including online training and education courses, for all FMSU products©. Martin also guides and directs a number of additional departments within the group and has profit-and-loss responsibility for the business side of the service function. Prior to assuming his new role, Martin was Director of Customer Support. He began his career with a mechanical engineering apprenticeship at Philips Medical Systems in the U.K., before moving to the U.S. in 1989, where he held positions with Toshiba America Medical Systems, Cemax-Icon, Kodak, and Stereotaxis. Martin has a B.S. in Business from the University of Phoenix and an M.B.A. from Columbia College.

 

Gregory Strowig

Gregory Strowig
Vice President, TeraMedica Division of Fujifilm

Greg has over 35 years of global product development, marketing, sales, implementation, and support experience, primarily in the health payer and provider markets. He has been with FUJIFILM TeraMedica, Inc. since its inception in 2001 and is currently vice president. In this role, he is responsible for many of the company's global operations. Prior to becoming vice president, Greg was the Chief Operating Officer for TeraMedica, Inc. And, before joining FUJIFILM TeraMedica, Inc., he was a partner with the global professional services firm marchFIRST and a senior manager with the global consultancy Accenture.

 

Kentaro Yamanaka

Kentaro Yamanaka
Executive Director, Global Business Development, Medical Informatics

Kentaro was appointed to Executive Director, Global Business Development, Medical Informatics in October 2018. Prior to his current role, he joined FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. (FMSU) in 2017 as Revenue Controller Director, Medical Informatics Solutions – Global. With approximately 20 years of experience, Kentaro has led initiatives to increase sales and marketing productivity, implement new business operation processes, and develop policies and strategies for various departments. In his current role, Kentaro is responsible for revenue and profit management of medical informatics business for 40+ international countries including Europe, LATAM, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions. He is involved in special projects, including global business partnership, new product introduction and regulatory management. Prior to joining FMSU, Kentaro held roles at FUJIFILM Corporation and FUJIFILM Europe. Kentaro has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Culture Studies from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

 

Randal Vader

Randal Vader
Vice President, Regulatory and Quality Affairs & Corporate Compliance Officer

Randy provides strategic leadership and oversight for quality systems and regulatory compliance initiatives throughout all FMSU sites. In addition, as the Corporate Compliance Officer, he oversees the company’s Corporate Compliance Program. Randy is responsible for establishing standards and policies pertaining to regulatory requirements to help ensure legal, ethical, and proper conduct, making sure these standards are communicated and institutionalized across all FMSU business units.
