" The X-T1 is Fujifilm's most ambitious camera to date, and we'd have to say, probably its best. Its relatively compact, well-built body is peppered with dials and switches which give direct access to all the key photographic settings, encouraging you to take control of the picture-taking process. The huge high-resolution electronic viewfinder is a joy to use too, offering an excellent preview of how your images will turn out. Autofocus is impressively quick, and the X-T1 is one of the first mirrorless cameras that can properly track focus on subjects moving towards or away from the camera."

" The compact size, available thanks to the mirrorless sensor and lens mount design, makes it an appealing camera, and with the ever growing choice of high quality lenses, Fujifilm has a winning formula on their hands. More so now that this camera introduces a weather sealed body, and an impressively large and high resolution electronic viewfinder."

"The X-T1 certainly delivers one of the most satisfying and enjoyable experiences at its price point, or indeed at price points twice as much. I'm confident it'll delight both high-end enthusiasts and pros, the latter possibly buying it as a backup to a top-end DSLR and who'll almost certainly end up using it more and more as time goes on. The Fujifilm X-T1 is very deserving of our Highly Recommended award."

" The X-T1 is a small departure from the original rangefinder style of Fujfilm's X-series cameras. It looks and handles like a DSLR, with a large viewfinder positioned on the camera's optical axis. But the mechanical dial controls are retained."

" The Fujifilm X-T1 is a camera which has certainly caught our attention, and we think it'll turn a lot of heads once it's out in the wild. Its premium, weatherproof build quality coupled with three manual dials and six customizable buttons seem like it'll be an enthusiast's dream."

"Overall, the ergonomics and functionality of the X-T1 is top notch and is the main selling point of this camera. People won't switch from M43 or D-SLR because of any one function or feature, but after holding it and shooting with it, most will realize it's the sum value of all features and functions that makes this camera great. When I shoot with any Fujifilm camera, you can tell it was designed and engineered by photographers. The X-T1 is a photographer's camera, and the lenses are geared towards pros and enthusiasts."

"Overall I was really impressed by this new Fuji X-series camera. I really loved the feel of the camera and the profuse amount of physical buttons. I enjoyed being able to change the ISO and shutter speed so quickly. It was completely second nature to use this camera within a few seconds of holding it in my hands. The nice size hand grip made the X-T1 a great option for a serious photographic tool."

"the X-T1's EVF has .77x magnification, which Fujifilm claims is the highest magnification for any viewfinder on a digital camera the world. Most top cameras, even those with optical viewfinders, linger down around .70x or .71 magnification, which means that the X-T1's going to give you a view that's closer to the size of what your eye actually sees."

"First impressions after using a pre-production sample of the Fuji X-T1 indicate that it's a little slicker in this respect than its considerably more expensive full-frame competition."
