Advanced flash control, various mode settings and Scene Positions for your shooting enhancements.

Dual Shot

If you can’t decided whether to use flash or not, this mode will shoots 2 images continuously with and without flash. Compare and keep one or both!

Portrait Enhancer Mode

Give your portraits silky smooth skin tones and soft look with Portrait Enhancer mode. Using Fujifilm's proprietary "Double Noise Reduction" image processing and Face Detection technology, it captures and retouches your portraits all in the camera.

5fps “Burst” Continuous Shooting Mode

A high-speed continuous shooting mode allows you to shoot up to 12 frames in a burst* (at 5 frames per second). Perfect for capturing “the moment” of moving subjects.

Mode Dial

Auto

This is the easiest mode for taking pictures. Use this mode for ordinary photography.

SR AUTO

Frame your shot and SR AUTO intelligently recognizes the scene and selects the ideal settings.

Natural Light

This mode produces beautiful images that retain the natural ambience when shots are taken in low-light conditions.

Scene Position

Use to select the ideal setting from Scene Position menu for the shot.

Movie

Use this mode to record movies with sound.

Aperture/Shutter Priority Auto

Use this mode to change the aperture or shutter speed setting so that the action is frozen, the flow of the motion is conveyed, or the backgrounds is out of focus.

Manual

Automatic mode with several manual overrides.

Dual Shot

This mode shoots 2 images continuously without flash and with flash. Shooting with flash allows you to take a picture of a main subject brightly. This mode is useful for shooting 2 different types of pictures at the same time.

A Host of Scene Positions

Select the Scene Position to match the situation and the camera does the rest, ensuring the ideal setting everything from shutter speed and exposure to white balance.

Portrait

Set for shooting portraits. Skin tones are softened as it enhance the overall natural look.

Portrait Enhancer Mode

Enables automatic enhancements of skin tone.

Landscape

Best for shooting scenery in daylight capturing clear and sharp shots of buildings and mountains effectively.

Sport

A quick recognition of persons in motion or objects for a faster shutter speed to help you catch the perfect moment.

Night

Most effective for evening and night shots. Picture is taken with a slow shutter speed of up to 8 seconds.

Fireworks

Effective for taking shots of fireworks with a slow shutter speed.

Sunset

Capture sunset scenes vivid in color.

Snow

Most adaptable to snow scenes without unnatural darkened images or where the whole screen appears white.

Beach

Clear shots of people without darkened images under strong sunlight.

Museum

Flash mode is forcibly set to Suppressed flash, and operation sound, shutter sound, and the AF-assist illuminator/self-timer lamp are off.

Party

Best for shooting indoor weddings or parties. Retains the natural ambience in low-light conditions.

Flower

Capture a clear close-up shots of blooming flowers rich in color.

Text

Clear shots of letters on a document or white board.

Other Functions

Cycle Shooting

Shoots continuously while the shutter button is pressed and saves couple of frames prior to the release of the shutter.

Endless Continuous Shooting

Shots are continuously taken until the memory card is full.

Best Framing

Framing assistance for you to place the main subject on the crossing point of vertical and horizontal lines for a balanced shot.

White Balance

Optimizes the white balance according to the lighting conditions under various shooting modes: Auto, Preset (Fine, Shade, Fluorescent light (Daylight), Fluorescent light (Warm White), Fluorescent light (Cool White), Incandescent light).

Flash

Flash settings are available for best results for various modes, such as Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Forced Flash, Suppressed Flash, Slow Synchro. Red-eye Reduction & Slow Synchro.

AF/AE Lock

AF/AE function locks onto the subject while the shutter button is held down half way. Most effective when the subject is not in the center of the frame.

Self Timer

The shutter sets off as it waits 2 to 10 seconds after the button is released.
