HANOVER PARK, IL, May 28, 2014 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division will showcase wide format innovations including the Acuity Advance Select flatbed, the Acuity LED 1600 UV hybrid printer, and the Visual Magnetics system at the NBM Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 12 – 14, 2014.

The ultimate platform for printing on rigid, flexible and even roll media and delivering near-photographic quality images across a range of applications, the Fujifilm Acuity Advance Select gives printers additional opportunities to expand their capabilities, and, ultimately their business.

The Acuity Advance Select builds on all the advantages of the highly successful and popular Acuity Advance platform, with the same ultra-high print quality, offering a versatile platform, which improves efficiencies and allows for a wide range of applications for POP and other creative printing on rigid and flexible media.

“The Acuity Advance Select has really helped improve our business and gives us more opportunities to sell,” said J. Rockland Rocky” Profitt, founder of NAPCO (National Advertising and Promotional Company).

NAPCO specializes in high-end rigid paperboard products and packaging for the media and cosmetic industries. One of the secrets to NAPCO’s success is being able to stay in step with the product trends that continually redefine the industry.

“It (the Acuity Advance Select) provides samples that are exactly what the end product looks like. It has helped decrease turnaround time and increase speed to market. We have seen a huge, huge difference. It makes life so much easier,” continued Profitt.

The Acuity Advance Select features the inclusion of eight independent ink channels. In addition to the standard CMYK ink set, this flatbed includes additional white and clear ink channels. The addition of white and clear ink allows the functionality to print on a range of non-white substrates and add a spot or flood coat ‘varnish’ effect in a single operation all on one printer. Alternatively, the Acuity Advance Select can be used with two white ink channels to improve the density of white in a single pass; particularly useful for backlit applications.

The print performance is optimized by Fujifilm’s uniquely formulated Uvijet inks, incorporating the proprietary ‘Micro V’ dispersion technology, delivering consistent wide adhesion, superb color vibrancy and impressive durability in every print.

The Acuity Advance Select has an optional roll media kit for printing onto a variety of flexible materials; allowing an operator to prepare rigid material on the flatbed while the roll media option is printing.

The Fujifilm Acuity LED 1600 is a competitively priced high-performance wide-format hybrid inkjet printer featuring a proprietary-design LED light source, a high precision, high-speed printhead, and optimized fast curing UV-LED ink. The Acuity LED is a 64” wide printer delivering superb quality for printing wide format posters, window displays, back-lit signs, POP materials and product packaging. Designed to provide exceptional print results, the Acuity LED’s unique, purpose-designed ink, including clear ink, along with the highly versatile FUJIFILM Dimatix Q-Class printheads and the UV curing system, all work together to allow for smooth, near-photographic results at impressive print speeds. Fujifilm’s proprietary Fast Accurate Marking technology enables best-in-class productivity of 215 sq. ft./hour to meet customer demand of high quality paired with shorter delivery times. The easy to use, high-performance, wide format UV LED inkjet printer is ideal for a wide variety of promotional tools.

“I chose the Acuity LED because I wanted a machine that could do what others can’t do, customers like to see new technology, and we’ve always kept up with innovations in the industry,” said Craig Dellinger, president, New Haven Print, a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based print shop in business for over 30 years. “The Acuity LED gives us higher quality, and our clients absolutely love the clear UV ink. I use the selective and spot varnish for emphasis; it’s a really nice effect and makes a huge difference,” added Dellinger.

The Fujifilm portfolio of wide format media products will be on display and includes an extensive range of proven, high quality products that provide production efficiency and stunning graphics. The Visual Magnetics Graphic System® matches magnetic-receptive technologies with the highest quality print media.  Show attendees will see how this low-cost solution is changing the way retailers and designers execute major promotional campaigns.
