FUJINON SETS A NEW STANDARD IN OPTICAL TECHNOLOGY with 55X ZOOM LENS,
ideal for large venue sports, concerts and live events
New XA55x9.5 telephoto zoom showcased at the 2013 IBC show
Wayne, N.J., September 23, 2013 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division unveiled its latest offering, the FUJINON XA55x9.5 HDTV Telephoto Box Style lens at IBC this year. First shown as a preliminary model at NAB in April, the new XA55x9.5 lens is designed for large venues that require tight shots from long distances.
Like the popular XA50x9.5, this lens is available with a built-in lens support bracket for mounting on an ENG-style camera. Removing the need for additional camera lens support increases the cost efficiency of this lens.
Also built-in to the new XA55x is optical image stabilization. This is standard on the lens, making it ideal for any application where the camera operator must maintain a rock steady close up shot for long periods, such as sporting events, houses of worship, corporate presentations, or concerts.
With the end of analog broadcasting in the US, Europe and Japan, and the shift to digital in emerging economies, this lens fills a sweet spot in Fujinon’s complete line of 2/3” studio/field lenses. With a focal length from 9.5 to 525mm (or 19.0 to 1050mm with a 2x extender), this zoom offers outstanding performance in the most challenging environments. In addition, the XA55x features Digital Quick Zoom and its 16-bit encoder outputs zoom, focus position and other lens data - allowing it to combine CGI seamlessly with live images.
As with all its acclaimed broadcast and film lenses, Fujinon combines the latest optical simulation technology with fast T-stops, quality coatings, exact color reproduction, flare rejection and transparency.
