Retail Photo Printing Solutions

Also at CES 2012, Fujifilm will introduce its new Multi-Service Kiosk solution. This new kiosk is ideal for retail photofinishers looking to drive additional revenue streams and offer more to their customers without giving up valuable floor space. In addition to 4”x6” prints, the new Multi-Service Kiosk allows consumers to pay for domestic and international telephone bills and prepaid tolls and cellular plans. Consumers can also order ring-tones, music videos, and event tickets all from the same kiosk. Fujifilm’s Multi-Service Kiosk is the size of a traditional photo kiosk terminal and allows customers to order prints and other services at the kiosk.

Fujifilm will also introduce the latest addition to Fujifilm’s ASK line of digital photo printers, the ASK-300 thermal dye sublimation printer. Feature-rich in a compact, portable design, the ASK-300 offers all of the benefits of Fujifilm’s industry-leading commercial photo printing technology in an economically priced device. The ASK-300 is the ideal low-cost photo printing solution for retailers with limited counter space, at just over one square foot. At 26 lbs., the ASK-300 is also the perfect “traveling” printer for event photographers, allowing them to offer a variety of print sizes in seconds, on-site. Low equipment, service and consumable expenses help reduce total cost of ownership and maximize margins. Extremely versatile and efficient, the ASK-300 produces 4” x 6”, 5” x 7” and 6” x 8” prints all from the same printer, with a printing resolution of 300 dpi. The ASK-300’s large paper capacity increases productivity and ease of use.

Also at the Fujifilm booth, the Epson/Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7890 wide format inkjet printer produces large prints such as portraits, posters and signs as large as 24” x 36”, and banners up to 2’ x 8’ long on a wide range of substrates, including canvas, fine art paper and board stock up to 1.5mm thick. The Epson/Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7890 uses Epson UltraChrome inks to produce long lasting, high quality prints, with a wide color gamut and rich, deep blacks. Large ink cartridges (up to 700ml) help to reduce downtime and increase productivity with less waste and fewer replacements. By using roll media 20” wide, the Epson/Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7890 can output a wider range of photo-centric print sizes (11 x 14, 12 x 16, 16 x 20, 20 x 24, 20 x 30) with less waste material. Direct-to-board printing eliminates the need for outsourced mounting services.

Specialty Photo Printing Solutions
Fujifilm will also introduce the Xerox Phaser® 6270 Photobook Printer to Fujifilm’s expansive lineup of photo specialty printing products. The Xerox Phaser 6270 provides the capability to produce stunning photo images on a variety of paper products, at a low capital investment. Perfectly suited for production of high margin photo specialty products such as photobooks, folded cards and calendars, the Xerox Phaser 6270 can also generate a number of valuable business applications such as photo business cards, full color brochures, flyers and direct mailers. Low cost of production reduces minimum quantity restrictions and helps expand your service offering. In partnership with Xerox, Fujifilm adds their legendary expertise in photo imaging innovation to the Xerox Phaser 6270 in order to produce vibrant high quality color images. When connected to FUJIFILM MS Software, the Xerox Phaser 6270 can reproduce outstanding image quality using FUJIFILM Image Intelligence™ Technology, assuring automatic adjustment of the image file to produce the best quality image possible.

Innovative Solutions for Binoculars

Fujifilm’s Optical Devices Division will showcase its two series of advanced binoculars – the Techno-StabiTM Series and StabiScopeTM Series. Both are known for their excellent image-stabilization for vibration-free viewing, and feature FUJINON lenses. The Techno-StabiTM Series, featuring the TS 1440 and TS 1232 models, are 100 percent waterproof, high-power binoculars. Most vibrations can be corrected for, whether large or small. Built to be waterproof and easy to handle, these binoculars are being used for a wide variety of purposes, most especially by federal and local law enforcement agencies, as well as for marine sports and safaris. The StabiscopeTM Series, including the S1240 and S1640 models, are also image-stabilizing binoculars, but these are highly advanced internal gyro-stabilized binoculars. Pioneering the concept of a high powered binocular with an internal gyro stabilizing system, Fujifilm stabilized the optics inside the binocular, not the entire unit. Just as a gimbaled lamp or compass stays level in rocky seas, so do the internal workings of the Stabiscope. Used for measuring and monitoring tasks by professionals, most especially by federal sea and air law enforcement and space agencies, as well as in such fields as fishing industry and mountain rescue, the 100% waterproof Stabiscope with FUJINON lenses locks onto your target giving you a stable field of vision, whether you are on rough the seas or rocky ground surface.
