Hiro Sakai Assumes Global Role, Ryutaro Hosoda Named To U.S. Post
VALHALLA, N.Y., November 17, 2008 – FUJIFILM Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has announced several changes in executive level management, effective November 1, 2008. Ryutaro Hosoda has been named President, FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and President and CEO, FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. Mr. Hosoda succeeds Hiro Sakai, who has been named General Manager of the company’s Imaging Business Division, based in Tokyo.
In his new role as General Manager of FUJIFILM Imaging Business Division Mr. Sakai, who is also a Corporate Vice President, is responsible for the Company’s worldwide photo imaging business operations including film, and analog and digital photoprocessing solutions and services. Mr. Sakai joined Fujifilm in 1977 and has held various senior level sales and marketing positions for photographic products in Asia, Europe and America.
In his capacity as President of FUJIFILM Holdings America, Mr. Hosoda is responsible for enhancing Fujifilm consolidated management across the thirteen Fujifilm companies that operate within the United States. As President and CEO of FUJIFILM U.S.A., Mr. Hosoda oversees the company’s photographic imaging systems and services operations. Mr. Hosoda has most recently served as Senior Vice President, FUJIFILM Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf, Germany.
