FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES "COMMUNITY PRINT CENTER" OPEN HOUSE EVENTS FOR PHOTO RETAILERS

Events in Baltimore, MD and Long Beach, Calif. To Help Retailers Capitalize on Increasing Market Opportunities in Specialty Photo Products

VALHALLA, N.Y., September 17, 2008 – FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. today announced that it will host free open house events for photo retailers who are interested in expanding their market opportunities in the growing area of specialty photo products. Fujifilm's 'Building Sales and Profits in the Changing Photo World' program, held in conjunction with DigiLabs, efi, Epson and Xerox, will kick off with two sessions in Baltimore, MD on September 23 and 24, followed by two additional sessions in Long Beach, CA on October 14 and 15.

As the print at retail market continues to grow, Fujifilm's 'Building Sales and Profits in the Changing Photo World' program will introduce retailers to the FUJIFILM "Community Print Center," a concept designed to help retailers meet the traditional photo and specialty photo printing needs of consumers while taking advantage of new printed product offerings to drive revenue.

By attending one of Fujifilm's programs, retailers will have the opportunity to:

  • Listen to peers discuss how they successfully build and operate their own "Community Print Center"
  • Learn how to make the kinds of photo products that are generating the highest demand and profits
  • Take part in demonstrations of the photo equipment that makes up a "Community Print Center"
  • Meet with industry experts from efi, Fujifilm and Xerox who offer tips on increasing store traffic
  • Experience the Expanding Fujifilm Frontier World in action, including the Fujifilm GetPix Kiosk, Fujifilm Frontier Dry Minilab, Epson Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7880, Xerox Phaser 7760 and Xerox DocuColor 242 Digital Color printer.

Fujifilm's 'Building Sales and Profits in the Changing Photo World' program will take place at the Marriott Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD on September 23 and 24, from 8:00AM – 5:00PM; and at the Marriott Long Beach in October 14 and 15 in Long Beach, CA, also from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.  Interested attendees may choose to attend one of the two days offered at each location.  Admission is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Lunch will be provided.
