FUJIFILM Manufacturing

Working for FUJIFILM Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc.

A fantastic experience like no other!

We feel that our work environment is like no other - based around respect, trust, and diversity with a comfortable and positive atmosphere. We keep the work challenging and rewarding, with opportunities to learn and grow with the company. And, our consensus-driven management style and strong core values set us apart from most other companies.

Here at FUJIFILM Manufacturing, we strive to keep our Associates well informed. This is accomplished through the use of the Fujifilm News Network which can be seen on TVs in the break rooms across the site, emails, regular departmental communication meetings, as well as one-on-one conversations with all levels of the organization.

We have several different work schedules in use at FUJIFILM Manufacturing. Primarily our production Associates work a rotating shift that follows a revolving pattern of two days on, three days off, three days on, and then two days off, so every week these Associates are guaranteed at least 3 days off. Most other Associates, however, work the standard eight-hour, Monday through Friday shift.

We feel it's important that every Associate has choices when it comes to his or her career, whether it's obtaining a deep knowledge of a chosen position, or to consider moving to a different position. The way we ensure this, is through our Job Structure and Career Ladder programs, which are based around skill and competency levels. Also, open positions are posted internally and made available to any FUJIFILM Manufacturing Associate before initiating the external recruiting process.

Benefits

It's important to us that we provide our Associates with leading-edge compensation, and not just in the form of money. We've gone to great lengths to ensure the health and well-being of all of our Associates beyond traditional benefits, such as an on-site Health Services department and the EAP (Employee Assistance Plan).

As part of our Health and Welfare benefits, Associates receive a comprehensive package including medical, dental, prescription drug, and vision plans. We also include Basic Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Dependent Life, and Short and Long term disability insurances at no cost to the Associate, with various supplemental coverages available upon request.

Also, as part of the medical insurance, we offer Flexible Spending Accounts which allow Associates to use tax-free dollars to pay for certain out-of-pocket expenses for uncovered medical costs or dependent care.

Included with the general benefits package are a retirement savings plan in the form of a 401(k) that consists of company basic contributions and Associate-matched contributions, a PTO (Paid Time Off) plan based on service time, sick days, 10 paid, observed holidays per year, a 'floating' holiday, and an education assistance program.

Interview and Selection process

Before an on-site interview is arranged, an applicant will be guided through a few steps. First, an applicant may be asked to complete a set of pre-hire assessments that are designed to check job-related skills, competencies, and aptitude. The second is a telephone interview, and the goal of both of these is to ensure that the applicants possess the ability to succeed at Fujifilm.

The next step in the process is a Behavioral-style interview, in which the applicant meets with a panel of Fujifilm Associates, typically the Supervisor/Manager s/he will be reporting to, a member of Human Resources, and one or two of their potential co-workers.

During the interview, the applicant is given an opportunity to provide, and discuss, examples of how s/he has handled various work-related situations in the past. Additional information on behavioral interviewing can be found in this section on Wikipedia.
