FUJIFILM Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc.

Established in Greenwood, South Carolina in 1988, FUJIFILM Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation. Fujifilm - South Carolina is the company’s North American Manufacturing and Research and Development Headquarters.

There are currently over 1200 people employed on the Greenwood site and the company has more than 2.5 million square feet of manufacturing space (more than 40 football fields) under roof. The total investment in the Greenwood, South Carolina, complex far exceeds $1.8 billion. Fujifilm - South Carolina is one of the company’s global manufacturing hubs, and it plays a key role in the company’s strategic vision, serving customers throughout the United States, Canada, and over 40 other countries worldwide.

The 500 acre complex boasts five state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities for the production of QuickSnap recyclable cameras, inkjet photographic paper, color photographic paper, and digital printing plates for the Graphic Arts industry. Fujifilm - South Carolina is also home of the Greenwood Research Laboratories and Fujifilm’s largest distribution center in the world.

The Greenwood complex has obtained the prestigious ISO-14001 registration to confirm the excellence of our environmental protection and enhancement programs. One of the company’s most recent environmental projects was the methane gas reclamation project. In 2010, Fujifilm began utilizing landfill gas from the Greenwood County Landfill to provide power for the color photographic paper factory thereby reducing the amount of harmful methane gas emitted into the environment and reducing the consumption of natural gas.

In June 2010, Fujifilm announced two new facilities were planned for the Greenwood, South Carolina campus. Fujifilm modified a dormant film production facility to begin producing inkjet photo paper for use with Fujifilm’s Frontier Dry Inkjet Minilabs as well as its wide format inkjet printer solutions for retail customers. The company also modified a dormant x-ray film finishing factory to create a new, state-of-the-art digital print services and fulfillment operation. The facility has become the largest photo products fulfillment organization in the country. Fujifilm Printing Services supports many of the country’s leading retail stores and online photo Web sites, and serves consumers directly through its FUJIFILM SeeHere.com photo web site. Adding these new products to Fujifilm – South Carolina’s product line up further underscores the company’s commitment to its customers and the US market.

Tomoyoshi “John” Ueno was appointed president of Fujifilm - South Carolina in 2012. He brings over thirty-five years’ experience working with Fujifilm. Prior to coming to the Greenwood complex, he served as the General Manager of Fujifilm’s Fujinomiya factory in Japan. He has also held many leadership positions at Fujifilm facilities in The Netherlands and in Japan.
