Spend a day with...

Dennis Lopez, Digital Technical Specialist, Edison Branch
Fujifilm Employee since July, 2001

What do you do at Fujifilm?

I'm a tech specialist for digital cameras, and I run tests on complex product issues. When a problem escalates beyond the help desk, I do research and testing to come up with the final solution.

What have you learned while working at Fujifilm?

I've learned a lot about photography. Before Fuji I only knew about point-and-shoot cameras. Now I work with professional photographers and have learned all the lingo. Gaining this knowledge of photography has helped me resolve customer issues more efficiently and effectively.

What was your first day at Fujifilm like?

My first day was a challenge. I went to school for computers and networking and that first day on phone support was definitely different. I was able to tap into my technical know-how but I had a limited knowledge of cameras at the time. But I learned to tackle things as they came, and took fifty-some calls. At the end of the day, I looked around and wondered, "How'd I do that?"

What surprised you most about working at Fujifilm?

The atmosphere, the people, everyone is great to work with. Everything here is a family mentality; you're a part of the Fuji family. Everyone is very friendly and will help you out whenever you need it.
